Winter is certainly setting in all around Australia. Particularly down here in Melbourne, so I thought I would take the opportunity to brighten everyone’s day with a few fantastic videos that have been floating around the Internet this week, and one of our very own.

Some of us wander through like wishing that life was a musical. Well apparently there are ways to make that happen. This is quite possibly the most impressive marriage proposal ever YouTubed and is being touted as the world’s first ever lip-synced  (It’s great watching her reactions as well) :

Tim Minchin’s Storm the Animated Movie

Anyone who is a fan of Australian comedian Tim Minchin would surely be aware of his nine minute beat poem Storm. Apparently he got together with a director and some animators and created a movie which is well worth a watch.

Side by Side by Sondheim – Exclusive backstage videos

Last month at the Theatre Royal Sydney, a star-studded charity performance of Side By Side By Sondheim was staged to raise funds and awareness for The White Ribbon Foundation — AussieTheatre’s Ben Neutze was backstage and sat down to talk with many of the cast.

Matt is a past owner of AussieTheatre, working as digital director from 2011 to 2019. He is also a performer, most recently appeared in the Australian tour of Mamma Mia! and previously in the Australian/NZ tour of CATS and Enda Markey's acclaimed production of Blood Brothers. As well as performing Matt keeps himself busy in the digital side of the arts working with web design agency Emptyhead Digital
