It's a challenge between fresh blood and the old guard when the Theatresports Cranston Cup all comes to a head in its Grand Final this year.

The quickest minds in the business get serious at the Enmore Theatre this November 24, in the climax to a hilarious season of off-the-cuff comedy where the best of the new generation has been lining up up against former champions.

Every year since 1985, Sydney's funniest impro comedians have been playing off each other in rival teams to win the coveted Cranston Cup.

terans, young talent including the winners of the high schools’ competition and the funniest ‘Theatresports Fresh’ rookies are currently battling through weekly rounds and tough semi-finals at two venues – The Factory Theatre (Sunday nights) and the Roxbury Hotel (Thursday nights).

The Cranston Cup and its shows helped launched the careers of local comedy icons such as Julia Zemiro, Andrew Denton, Jay Laga'aia, Andrew O'Keefe, Rob Carlton, and Adam Spencer.

The Grand Final this year is hosted by hilarious comedian Susue Youssef, so get ready to laugh, shout out suggestions and be part of the mayhem next month as the new upper echelons of on-the-fly comedy are crowned.
