Your Sunday Afternoon Zen: Amy Lehpamer sings a Henry Lawson inspired number

Rocky Horror is traveling around Australia and it’s about to stop in Sydney. It’s bringing Amy Lehpamer along in the role of Janet, so this Sunday afternoon, let’s float away on some Lehpamer, in honour of Rocky Horror’s upcoming opening.

You might know Lehpamer as Reza in Once, or as Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, or as Sherrie in Rock of Ages.

But just recently she was a vocalist for John Thorn’s Looking for Lawson, a musical odyssey through Henry Lawson’s most beautiful and famous poems.

An award winning Melbourne Composer, Thorn employs marches, tangos, English Music Hall, Irish Folk tunes and Torch Songs to add flavour to Lawson’s words.

Here’s Lehpamer performing “Past Carin'” as part of Looking for Lawson for the Brunswick Music Festival.

Happy Sunday!
