Ben Lewis confirmed to join witches of Wicked for Opera House concert

After working in London for several years, leading Aussie performer Ben Lewis (best known for his star turn as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies) will be returning to Australia to join the Witches of Wicked and Sydney Symphony Orchestra for a special concert series at the Sydney Opera House.

The concert is set to take place in July and will star four ex-witches from the block buster musical Wicked’s Australian, New Zealand, Asian and the West End productions: Lucy Durack, Helen Dallimore, Amanda Harrison and Jemma Rix.

The four “witches” will come together on stage for the very first with Lewis time to perform songs from magical favourites including Wicked, Frozen, The Witches of Eastwick, Dance of the Vampires, The Wizard of Oz, Into the Woods, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and Love Never Dies.

In Australia, Ben Lewis starred in such musicals as A Little Night Music for Opera Australia, Spamalot and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and most recently Ben has been working in London on Candide and Forbidden Broadway and the UK tour of Love Me Tender.

Directed by Peter Adams, musically directed by Kellie Dickerson with costumes by designer Jaimie Sortino, Witches with your SSO is set to be a magical evening at the theatre.
