Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music returns to Melbourne

sing-a-long-a-soundofmusicThe hugely popular Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music will be returning to Arts Centre Melbourne’s State Theatre in July for three performances only.

Established in 1999, the Sing-A-Long-A series 2012 will take place at 7:30 pm on Friday 20 & Saturday 21 July, with a special family friendly matinee performance at 1pm on Saturday.

Chelsea Plumley, most recently featured on Channel Ten’s series Offspring, audiences will once again host the event, guiding the audience through this interactive and unforgettable tribute to The Sound Of Music.

Audience participation is the order of the day, and Plumley will be leading a vocal warm up to ensure the audience is in fine voice to sing favourites from the show (and to whoop and cheer the participants of the Costume Parade!).

From nuns, to goatherds, girls in white dresses (with blue satin sashes) to Plumbers (Christopher Plummers!), the possibilities are endless! (Lateral thinking is encouraged for costume design…)

Round up your favourite friends, take your vows, and tear down the curtains, clear your throats, fill your lungs and take your seats to become stars of the world’s favourite musical.
