The Fabulous Singlettes will be rocking Melbourne this week as part of the Melbourne Cabaret Festival in a musical celebration of some of the greatest hits of the 60s and 70s.

Formed in 1986 by Naomi Eyers, the group have been touring Europe for the last 10 years, and are well known as the beehive trio from the Australian production of The Pirates of Penzance starring Jon English and Simon Gallagher.

This Cabaret Festival engagement marks their return to Melbourne for the first time in 10 years. Original members Naomi Eyers and Mel McCaig and a graduate of The Fabulous Singlettes School of Charm, Melissa Langton, will be appearing at Chapel Off Chapel from Thursday 19 – Saturday 21 July to showcase the impeccable harmonies and sly, camp humor that have made this mega-girl group a hit all over the world.

“This is a high powered show with 3 costume changes and huge vocals, full on choreography and lots of tacky comedy. It is very tongue in cheek, typical Aussie humour”, said Melissa Langton, pictured centre.

“I guess my favourite part of the show is just that we are all totally ourselves and even after so many years, can manage to get heaps of laughs on stage, usually at each other, actually, usually at me!”

This Green Room Award nominated group has shared the stage with Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Peter Allen and their 70 minute show at the Cabaret Festival is sure to be a FABULOUS night at the theatre.
