VIDEO feature: Hot Shoe Shuffle opens in Sydney

The 21st Anniversary production of Hot Shoe Shuffle opens in Sydney this weekend, and AussieTheatre were at the Lyric Theatre yesterday to catch a glimpse of the production.

This special AussieTheatre video features interviews with Jaz Flowers and Bobby Fox as well as footage from the show.

Video filmed and edited by Ben Neutze

Hot Shoe Shuffle was the first Australian musical to play successful seasons both in Australia and internationally having enjoyed seasons in six different countries. After its award-winning sell out season on London’s West End, where the production won the prestigious Lawrence Olivier Award for Choreography, Hot Shoe Shuffle broke box office records on the UK’s regional touring circuit, where it toured for two years.

It has also won an ARIA Award for its soundtrack album, 4 Mo Awards, 2 Green Room Awards, and an Advance Australia Award for services to the Arts.

Choreographed by David Atkins and Dein Perry in 1992 (starring both men in the original tour) this production of Hot Shoe Shuffle has been revamped and reworked for the immensely talented cast of triple threats for the 21st Anniversary tour.
