The Equity Foundation will be hosting several workshops and masterclasses in the next few weeks for members of Equity.

Established in 2002, the aims and objectives of the Foundation are to advance the interests of professional performers in Australia, and the interests of the Equity section of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance.

Available (and free) for members of the union, over 100 professional development courses are offered every year by the Equity Foundation.

Dancing for Actors, Voice and Accent workshops and an Auditioning for Musical Theatre Masterclass are all coming up in the next four weeks for any equity members wishing to attend.

Musical theatre legend Toni Lamond will give her first Equity masterclass on auditioning for musical theatre in Sydney on Monday, April 2. Participants will be able to draw on Toni’s experience working in Australia, UK and the USA on productions such as Mame, Oliver, Cabaret, Annie, Hello Dolly! and 42nd Street. This class will be held on Monday April 2, half an hour after the Toni Lamond Masterclass. Performers who have applied for the Toni Lamond Masterclass are welcome to apply for this workshop as well: http://www.equityfoundation.org.au/epp/dancing-for-actors-workshop-nsw.html
