Win a double pass to the preview screening at Newtown Dendy of Stephen Sondheim’s legendary musical FOLLIES

We are very excited to have a handful of double passes to give away to the Wednesday  FEB 7, 6.00pm preview screening at Newtown Dendy of Stephen Sondheim’s legendary musical Follies.

Follies is currently being staged for the first time at London’s National Theatre. Including classic songs Broadway Baby, I’m Still Here and Losing My Mind, it stars Olivier Award winning actresses Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter, Sweeney Todd), Tracie Bennett (Hairspray, High Society), Janie Dee (Carousel, Hello Dolly) and triple Olivier award winning Australian actor Philip Quast (Les Miserables, South Pacific) as well as Peter Forbes (Singing in the Rain, The James Plays) who are joined by an orchestra of 21. The production is directed by Dominic Cooke (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom).

Follies will be captured live in HD by NT Live for cinema, then screened to 2,500 cinemas in 60 countries inc Australia: in cinemas nationally from February 17 2018 (50+ locations). There is no other way for international audiences to see this unmissable play.

SYNOPSIS: Set in 1971, New York, the production follows the reunion of a group of showgirls at the theatre where they used to perform which is about to be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs and lie about themselves.

      Unfortunately we haven’t heard anything more than rumours about Phantom returning to Australia in the near future. We will be sure to let you know if we hear anything more concrete.
