Gyton Grantley hits the stage in South Pacific, Brisbane

It was announced today that Gyton Grantley will step into the the role of Luther Billis for Opera Australia's Brisbane season of South Pacific. Grantley will be replacing Eddie Perfect, who will return to the set of TV series Offspring after performing the role in Sydney and Melbourne this year.

A Brisbane local known for his portrayal of notorious hitman Carl Williams in

the hit TV series Underbelly, and more recently Kane in Channel 9's House Husbands, Grantley has been rehearsing with fellow incoming cast member Christine Anu (Bloody Mary) in Melbourne ahead of their first preview on December 27 at the Lyric Theatre QPAC.

South Pacific will play a limited season at the Lyric Theatre QPAC with previews commencing on December 27 and an official opening night gala on January 2.
