Adelaide can’t wait to welcome the Jersey Boys

Nobody can say Adelaide audiences aren’t eager! A record number of patrons registering on the Adelaide wait-list for the hit production of Jersey Boys – The Story of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasonshas led the show’s producers to bring forward the general public onsale date to 9am Monday 30 April, two months earlier than originally planned.

In the town where international musicals used to debut before touring the country, over 7,000 South Australians have already registered on the official website seeking priority booking. According to the booking agencies, this is a record for Adelaide and demonstrates the popularity of this much-anticipated and acclaimed production, which has been seen by over 1,000,000 people in Melbourne and Sydney.

Patrons on the waitlist will be the first to access the priority booking presale before bookings open to the general public.

“We are thrilled with the response from the South Australian public to the announcement that the show will be coming to Adelaide this October”, said Jersey Boys Australia’s producer, Rodney Rigby.

The Adelaide tour will feature a new cast of the Four Seasons, including Dion Bilios as Frankie Valli, Declan Egan as Bob Gaudio, Anthony Harkin as Tommy DeVito and Glaston Toft as Nick Massi.

Jersey Boys is the story of how four blue collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop sensations of all time. Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi joined forces to become The Four Seasons, writing their own hits and developing their unique sound to sell over 175 million records before they were 30.  The multi-award-winning show features 20 Four Seasons hit songs including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Rag Doll, Oh What a Night and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.

Hayley Horton

Hayley was an arts worker in South Australia for twelve years working freelance for small to medium clients as well as for companies such as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, State Theatre Company SA, Urban Myth Theatre of Youth and the Australia Business Arts Foundation. As part of her freelance work, Hayley founded the ATG Curtain Call Awards (which is now an annual gala event), co-produced three 24 Hour Show charity fundraiser events, has judged for the Adelaide Fringe Festival and reviewed for Aussie Theatre and the Adelaide Theatre Guide. Hayley now runs a boutique events and arts management business, Footlight Events and in her spare time, is involved with Adelaide’s amateur theatre community as a producer, performer and director.
