Hey, Sydney: Slapdash Song Night is a monthly variety show and podcast you might be into

What are you going to do on your first Sunday night in February? Probably check out the launch of Slapdash Song Night, a fun and flighty musical variety show you might have caught at last year’s Fringe that’s turned into a regular gig.

Slapdash Song Night is best described as a delicious tasting plate of music, musicals, cabaret, musical comedy, and more from all around town. Cut loose with your host, Keira Daley (LadyNerd, [title of show]), for some toe-tapping, head-bopping, rollicking variety night mayhem.

Slapdash Song Night.
Slapdash Song Night.

Warning: Dangerously catchy.

Enjoy a variety of live music and get to know the artists via fun, pacy interviews. Featuring the quirky wit of Daley and the cool musical savvy of pianist Mark Chamberlain (Jersey Boys, Mornings With Kerri-Anne), the action takes place upstairs at Glebe hangout The Record Crate.

From comedy to cabaret, musical theatre to rockin’ band, acoustic duo and more, Slapdash Song Night has it all. It’s the place to discover new gems, experience new styles, and enjoy familiar favourites all over again.

OPENING NIGHT LINE-UP (“THEME SONGS AND OPENING NUMBERS”) INCLUDES…

  • World champion improv comedian, multi-award-winning actress of stage and screen, Rebecca De Unamuno (Big Bite, The Chaser, Kath & Kim)
