Lineup for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival Announced

The lineup for Artistic Director, David Cambell’s final Adelaide Cabaret Festival was officially launched on Sunday, and looks like it is going to be his biggest and brightest yet.

 The lineup for Artistic Director, David Cambell’s final Adelaide Cabaret Festival was officially launched on Sunday, and looks like it is going to be his biggest and brightest yet. The 2011 Festival will run from the 10th to the 25th of June and features over 250 artists including 50 international artists and 125 home grown South Australians.
Adelaide Cabaret Festival Artistic Director David Campbell says, “We are thrilled to announce this year’s program, my last as Artistic Director, and feel that we are truly delivering something out of this world. We have numerous international chart toppers. Tony winners and multiple Grammy award winning songwriters. We have the newest up and coming artists from all over the world. We have scores of shows debuting here at the Festival and we have our headliner – the most successful Australian singer of all time. How is that for going out with a bang? Thank you for coming with us on this incredible journey. It has been a blast and I look forward to seeing you at this year’s Festival”.
Olivia Newton-John will be headlining this year’s Cabaret Festival accompanied by the Adelaide Art Orchestra.
The leading ladies continue with Chita Rivera (USA), Australia’s favourite fiery redhead Rhonda Burchmore, Josie Lane in Josie in the Bathhouse and a personal favourite of mine Amy Housewine in her Cabaret Festival debut with Back to Crack.
This years festival also includes an opportunity to catch the  creative process at work in one of this year’s Masterclasses with Dean Bryant and Neil Gooding as they talk you through Getting your act together and taking it on the road
