Moira Blumenthal Productions to record SECOND STAGE performances
Moira Blumenthal productions have made the difficult decision to postpone SECOND STAGE as a result of the ongoing COVID crisis.
SECOND STAGE is an initiative to discover and develop new ideas and scripts. They will present staged readings of exciting new plays in various stages of script and/or production development. Professional actors and a director/dramaturg will work together in the week prior to the presentation, and audience members will be able to share their thoughts about the play directly after the show.
With live performances suspended until further notice, the productions will be recorded and published at a later date.
A statement from the company reads as follows:
Unfortunately, because of the ongoing situation in Victoria and in the interest of everyone’s safety and well-being, we have decided that it is not prudent to gather together for a live performance at this time. We will reassess next month and truly hope that it won’t be too long before we can gather together again in person.
Meanwhile, Moira, the actors and our fabulous dramaturg Tim McGarry are looking forward to getting together in two weeks time to rehearse the play and have it recorded for your enjoyment. Information on how to access the recording will be forwarded to you in the near future.
