Tonight, the cream of Melbourne’s Dance Scene will come together to celebrate all things physical and immerse themselves in the world of dance.

ImmersedTonight, the cream of Melbourne’s Dance Scene will come together to celebrate all things physical and immerse themselves in the world of dance. Presented by Collaboration The Project, Immersed Melbourne Dance Industry Night  will be held at the The National Theatre, St Kilda from 7:30pm, giving Melbourne’s professional dance community the chance to strut their stuff in style. Hailed as the dance industry’s premier night of entertainment, the evening will feature a host of established and up and coming choreographers showcasing their work.Performances include, Choreography by Paul Malek and Collaboration The Project, Team Rocket (Australia’s Got Talent), Contemporary Jazz Company Vertical Shadows directed by Stephen Agisilaou (SYTYCD), Rolling Entertainment (Australia’s Got Talent) International Choreographer Leroy Curwood, RickStix Productions headed by Adrian Ricks (Mr. Mistoffolees CATS), Australian Hip Hop Champions Dance Virus Productions, Hip Hop Crews Sole Symphony, The Collektive & all girl crew, Hollabak Dance Crew. Also performances by Full Time Institutions Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, Dance World Studios, Patrick Studios Australia, Youth dance Company Project Y and a myriad of other acts, which will make this night, Melbourne’s premier night of Dance in 2011. “Immersed gave oxygen to the real backbone of Melbourne dance…the tireless work of folk like Paul Malek and Jason Coleman is surely paying off.” Dance Informa MagazineAussieTheatre.com will be at the event, and will be showcasing some of the night in a special photo feature on our site later this week. The evening will be directed by Paul Malek (Artistic Director of Collaboration The Project) and promises to be an exciting and inspiring night.
